In the recent data leakage scandal which involved two countries and Facebook, the largest social media site, Cambridge Analytica was the center of attraction. After the disclosure of the data leakage, Facebook banned the consultancy firm and stated that the data of more than 87 million people was leaked during the scandal. Although Cambridge Analytica has denied its involvement in any type of illegal activities due to the data leakage, it rather said that the news was affecting its clients and pushing customers away from them.

It was because of the scandal, why Zuckerberg faced 10 hours of hearing with three committees in the Senate and the House of Representatives. The hearing went on for two days and during the hearing, the officials never missed a single chance to grill the CEO of Facebook in the worst way possible.

But even with so many questions, most of the answers of Mark Zuckerberg were looking very political and the most common line in his answers was ‘My team will follow up’

Cambridge Analytica also tweeted to its follower that Get the facts behind the Facebook Story, and they also shared a link on the same tweet. The link provided in their tweet was of cambridgefacts.com.

The step of closing down Cambridge Analytica was also a result of people claiming the involvement of the company in the data leakage and news stating that Cambridge Analytica intentionally did that.  The company was hired by Trump for his presidential campaign and soon it came under tremendous pressure due to the data leakage case of 87 million people.
